Position Summary:Mat-Su College is accepting applications for a Term Term Assistant Professor of Veterinary Medicine.
Duties:
100Serve as program head of the Veterinary Assisting program;
Strive for approval and implementation of a AAS Veterinary Technician degree program;
Teach 100- and 200-level veterinary and biology courses and labs to undergraduate college students;
Prepare syllabus consistent with approved UAA course content guide;
Prepare instruction appropriate to student learning outcomes and class delivery mode, e.g. face-to-face, blended, on-line;
Evaluate student learning;
Provide timely feedback to students on their learning;
Respond to student questions about the class in a timely manner;
Submit final grades on-time;
Hold regular office hours appropriate for the courses being taught; and,
Engage in University, professional and/or community service.
Workload will normally consist of: 80% teaching (12 credits per semester) and 20% service to the university, community, and discipline.Essential

Matanuska-Susitna College (MSC) is seeking a Term Assistant Professor of Veterinary Sciences. This is a bipartite (no research requirement) position. Candidates will serve as Program Head to the already established Veterinary Assisting Occupational Endorsement Certificate program with the goal of developing and launching a Veterinary Technician Program at the college. Applicants will need to be capable of teaching Veterinary Office Procedures (VETT A103), Veterinary Anatomy and Physiology (VETT A201), Veterinary Assistant Practicum (VETT A295), Introduction to Biology (BIOL A102), and /or Human Anatomy and Physiology laboratories (BIOL A111L and BIOL A112L). The successful candidate must be available to start August 2019 and able to teach the courses face-to-face on the Mat-Su College campus.
Mat-Su College is a community campus of the University of Alaska Anchorage. The campus is located on 951 acres in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, the fastest growing region of Alaska. Education, Training and Experience Required:
Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine
Two-years in veterinary practice with small and large animal experience preferred.
Evidence of assistant and technician education through involvement in practice affiliated with an accredited program, formal teaching and/or training new graduates/hires.
Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic coursework and preparation, past teaching experiences, expertise and experience relevant to the effective teaching of their specific field, and potential for providing high-quality instruction to undergraduate students in assigned courses at Mat-Su College.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
