Position Summary:Matanuska-Susitna College (MSC) is seeking applicants who want to help create the EMTs of tomorrow! If you are a current EMT, paramedic, or EMT instructor then you would be an ideal candidate for this lab aide position.
The MSC EMS Program is looking for EMT Lab Aides to help teach skills and run scenarios with EMT students at EMT-1, -2, & -3 levels.
100Technical functions in support of the department:
?Set-up and demonstrate various EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic skills stations (For example: vital signs, bleeding control splinting, airway management, IV access).
?Design and coordinate high-fidelity scenarios using simulation-manikins and standardized patients.
?Clean, maintain, inventory lab equipment and supplies.
?Teach EMS specialty certification courses.

Matanuska-Susitna College (MSC) is seeking applicants who want to help train and educate Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Advanced EMT?s, and Paramedics. If you are currently a Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic (MICP) or National Registry Paramedic (NRP) and you hold either an Alaska EMT Multi-level Instructor certification or any other nationally recognized EMS specialty instructor certification like ACLS Instructor, PALS Instructor, or PHTLS Instructor, you may be an ideal candidate for this position.
The MSC EMS Program is looking for Lab Aides to assist with skills lab instruction, skills demonstrations, simulation-manikin operation, scenario development and coordination, and specialty course instruction (AHA Heartsaver, AHA BLS-HCP, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, and PHTLS) for EMT, AEMT and Paramedic curriculum classes as well as ongoing continuing education training programs.
Please note: We are hiring multiple lab aides for this position. All candidates will be notified of hiring status at the end of the screening process. If hired, the position are contracted on a semester-by-semester basis depending on the needs of the department.
Required knowledge, skills, & abilities:
At least one year of experience as a Paramedic (military or civilian). Instructor experience is preferred.
Required Education or Training (including licenses):
+ Associate of Applied Science in Paramedical Technology (or higher).
+ Current Alaska Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic license (or the ability to obtain MICP within 6 months of hire) OR Current National Registry Paramedic certification.
+ Current Alaska EMT Multi-Level Instructor Certification OR Current other EMS Specialty Course Instructor Credentials (CPR, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, PHTLS, etc.).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
