Certified Medical Assistant
Mat-Su Surgical Associates is a growing surgical practice in Palmer, AK. We take care of patients needing general & endocrine surgical care with the highest level of integrity. We are looking for a dedicated, skilled, and professional medical assistant with excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced medical office. This position includes performing both administrative and clinical duties, and collaborating with other staff members. Gather clinical data and medical records from referring physicians Review patient paperwork and ensure it is properly completed and accurate Obtain current medication list with accurate dosages and frequencies Greet and bring patients to exam rooms, get vitals and brief health history Set up exam rooms properly for visits and procedures Assist providers during in-office procedures Prepare laboratory specimens for testing and transport according to lab protocol Clean & Stock exam rooms with supplies and maintain medical instruments Follow up on studies and pathology to ensure completion Administrative Duties:
Answer telephone in a professional pleasant and courteous manner, handling caller requests accurately and promptly. Transcribe accurate messages and relays to appropriate party. Follow office policy when handling patient health care questions.
