Summary:
As the Grants Manager, you are an integral part of the Accounting Department team responsible for managing and maintaining grants (including tracking and submitting reports) and maintaining and updating grant information.
Additionally, you will develop and review proposals, close-outs grants, and audit reports.
This is a full-time position (35-40 hours per week) with benefits including paid leave, 15 paid holidays, and cafeteria and 401(k) retirement plans.
Here's What you Can Expect in a Typical Day:
You will work collaboratively with our Department Directors (DD's) and Program Managers (PM's) to research, develop and submit proposals, and manage grants that are in alignment with CVTC's strategic plan.
You will monitor and send notices regarding upcoming deadlines including reports, project period end dates, etc.
and check in on statuses of grant deliverables.
You will collect and file grant documents in appropriate grant folders and obtain required signatures.
You will provide updates to DD's and PM's on regulation changes, grantor program updates, points of contact, etc.
You will write award summaries notices and thank you notes to funders to post on the CVTC website and/or social media.
You will work directly with the Accounting Director and/or Executive Director in developing or updating grant management policies and procedures.
This critical position can expect to have regular interaction with CVTC staff members and outside Agencies.
Here's What We're Looking For:

years of experience with grant writing, grant management and/or program management, grant record keeping and/or fundraising.
We are willing to train CNV Tribal Citizens.
AA in Business Administration is preferred, can be substituted for two additional years of progressive work experience.
Someone who has exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Someone who has excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Someone who has superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
Someone who is reliable with good time management skills to ensure scheduled activities are followed.
Someone who is proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), database software, and general office equipment with the willingness to learn new systems.
Someone with creative problem-solving skills.
Must have a valid Alaska driver's license and be insurable on CVTC's insurance policy.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 15-20 lbs.
Must be comfortable with prolonged sitting at desk and working on a computer.
