The Production manager will estimate and oversee residential and commercial plumbing and heating projects.
Working closely with the owner, office manager, production and service crews.
Must have the ability to work independently, remain self-motivated, stay organized, follow through, be accountable, able to manage a crew, and able to make and meet project deadlines and financial goals.
Good verbal and written communication skills are also a must.
Computer/technology skills are a plus.
Would prefer the applicant to have experience in the plumbing and heating field and a Journeyman Plumbers card but would consider the right person with a strong construction background.
Managing several crews consisting of journeyman and apprentice plumbers.
Keeping on task and meeting project deadlines and quality.
Motivate, support, and provide direction and guidance to production staff.
Coordinating and communicating with other trades on projects as needed to keep things moving forward.
Estimate projects from plans or site visits.
Order materials for projects and shelf stock.
Follow up and ensure everything is ready for the scheduled projects.
Plan for and schedule upcoming projects.
Communicating with contractors and homeowners as needed.
Following up and tracking punch list items for projects as needed.
Working directly with the office manager and owner to job cost and ensure projects are profitable.
Ensure all safety and health standards are met to keep the company accident-free.
Ability to remain calm but assertive.
Develop and implement systems as needed to improve efficiency without compromising quality or safety.
Able to pass a background check and has a good driving record.
