Middle/High School Social Studies Teachers-Matsu Borough School District Alaska's 2nd largest school district is looking to hire Middle/High School Social Studies teachers for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year! We are located 45 minutes outside of Anchorage, AK.
We have 19,000
students across 47 schools.
Our communities include:
Glacier View, Sutton, Palmer, Wasilla, Butte, Knik-Fairview, Meadow Lakes, Big Lake, Houston, Willow, Talkeetna and Trapper Creek.

Position Description:
To teach assigned English courses through a variety of instructional techniques both the required and supplementary subject matter and skills within district curriculum.
To create an excellent classroom environment which is conducive to learning for each individual student.
Salary:
$50,151 - $72,160 Depending on verification of service and education.
MSBSD has a competitive Salary Schedule with an accelerated step advancement.
Applicants can bring a maximum of 4 years' experience.
We pay an additional $3,000 bonus PER YEAR for National Certification.
Leave:
Each Certified Teacher receives 4 paid personal leave days at the beginning of the year and accrues 1.
33 sick leave days each month of employment.
Retirement:
MSBSD is a member of the State of Alaska Teachers Retirement System.
Licensing Requirements (position requirements at entry):
Alaska Type A Teaching Certificate.
Preferred applicant will have endorsement in Secondary Social Studies.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
